The Needle

Why do I always feel this way?
All alone, isolated, and by myself
Like a snow storm in the middle of May
Similar to an empty book shelf

I want to be part of the crowd
All I want is to be part of the team
An actual somebody who is always proud
Like a long novel with a plot and theme

I feel like the needle in a haystack
Like Hiroshima after the atom bomb
I don’t want to feel like a train going off the track
But someone who actually has a date to prom

Maybe one day I will know how it feels
Someday I will know what it’s about
Like a toy truck with all four wheels
A man with courage who has no doubt

You are amazing. I love you. And I love your needle poem. You're so insightful. And I'll be your prom date. I won't have one either.
