What do you do when,
Your heroes just arent around?
Superman retires,
The capes can't be found.
When The Flash gets slow,
Spiderman gets sprayed,
The Flame burns out,
Batman's flight is delayed.
Wolverine takes out a nail file,
Wonderwoman quits the team.
The Thing turns human,
And The Hulk loses his green.
When the ones you count on,
Decide to quit their occupations.
You're left alone,
With all these frustrations.
You can't get them back,
Because they're nowhere to be found.
They left you stunned,
And you cant find your ground.
Instead of being like them,
And just giving up.
Keep up your head,
When things begin to get tough.
Gain your strength,
Defeat the crimes on your own.
No one needs a sidekick.
You can do it alone.
Dont let The Joker get away.
Give Darth Vader a better tone.
Beat up all the robbers,
And let the hostages go.
In the end,
You will always be your own hero.
As far as giving up goes,
The percentage is zero.

I love it! I thought the Wolverine filing down his claws was very creative and comical. Loved it! Great job, friend!

Life isn't about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself.

Ahhh, once again, I enjoy your work! It's funny how when one poet read's another's work, it's like a sense of pride! I did enjoy the piece; there is one line you could change a little- If you put 'home' at the end of the line 'Let the hostages go', it will improve the rhyme sequence. But even if not, it's still an over all great poem! (btw, sorry I keep changing my display name, I'm audrey.bee)

I love this!! The superhero theme is really cool, and I love how creatively you de-hero them. :)
