A National Anthem

Our country is man-made

It has served us for uncounted decades

In our country you shall be free

And your happiness will be a guarantee

Our country is where your body is meant to rest

Unless, by all means, you are a guest

We are the nation where you belong

And with your hand on your heart you shall sing our song

And as you read this poem aloud

You’ve perhaps already become part of the crowd

That reads these words with a feeling of pride

Unknowing of the evil that they guide

Because you don’t belong to this country, our nation or your land

And you shouldn’t just blindly follow all of its demands

Once you stop seeing the differences to its neighbours

We can start doing our universe some true favours
