Brotherly Bond

Good men beat down
Smiles turned to frowns
There is no logic
In a world so tragic
Love is lost
At a pricey cost
Good times to spare
In a life of despair
Blood of brothers
Lives lost of others
Running from the blood
In a time that should be done
But in a life that is gone
After a brotherly bond
There is no light

The author's comments:
I have written this poem about the tragic effects of war in the world. Although I would feel that I would want to join the force. Not only to serve my country but to be apart of something bigger than myself.
