I keep my mouth shut
And press my thighs together, pinning my hands there so they can’t reach,
Reach for the phone that has your name
Bold and beautiful on the screen.
I don’t want to annoy you

I try to keep my cool as my heart flutters,
Skips a beat,
And makes a comeback, pounding like an 808 drum.
I don’t want you to run away

But try as I might,
I cannot stop my eyes from telling you everything.
They frantically looking for yours.
Big and beautiful seas of light that I want to so desperately be surrounded in.
But I wait as patiently as I can while gently gazing over your wonderful uneven lips,
The hair I can’t stop running my fingers through,
The smile I try to coax out from your lovely soul,
Your hands as they creating the baselines,
Your fingers as they finish your works of art, your incredible masterpieces,
And the fire I can see biting in everything you do.

The only words that slip out are your name and I love you ..
