Patience
Minutes, turned to hours.
Days, turned to months.
Waiting for her to talk to me,
for everything return to
normal.
Thinking, “What did I do?
Where did I go wrong?”
Seeing her face in the hallway.
Glared into those sad eyes.
Mine probably looked the
same.
Did she feel how I felt,
like a torn apart piece of paper?
Did she want me to approach
her first?
Confused.
Lonely.
Sad.
Scared, I would lose her
forever.
Tired of waiting.
But, never gave up.
Wished, on 11:11.
Waiting and waiting.
Patience,
paid off.
