Strong arms and sweet breath
Just us two wrapped gently in the other's embrace
You drift slowly to sleep
I can tell because the circles you brush onto my arm
are getting smaller
fleshy curtains hide your bright eyes from mine
And your breath comes streadily breaking on my face
Causeing my bangs to rustle gently like they do in the
Autumn Breeze
It's so strange knowing in the back of my mind that time
is passing
Everything seems so still when you hold me
Everything feels so right when you tell me so
But sometimes when you're not awake to tell me
otherwise
I wonder if you will always be there beside me
Will your arms always be around me?
Protecting me.
Loving me.

You murmer softly and pull me to you
I let you,
Your embrace is like some baptism
Surprise causes my breath to catch like I have just stepped
into a pool of cool water,
But when your scent envelops me,
All my previous thoughts and fears wash away,
And I am reborn,
Worry free.
How strange it is knowing that time is passing
outside
But in your arms,
Everything is still.
