Oh God, my God, where do I stand now? Here waves of emotions
surround me, deep in the sea of life. No one to hold or touch.
Pushed under, then up again, my breath is short…I’m drowning.
Take my hand oh gracious Father. Or is this the end? Surly a
different plan is set in mind. The light has dimmed, there is no
hope. Guide me. Guide me. Creatures of your great waters engulf
me. The shark of envy, whale of loneliness, the dolphin of
popularity. Awareness has ceased to exist within me. I’m fading
out. You are my only rescue. Fighting the creatures I lose
strength. Only your grace and power is my rescue.
The sun has appeared. Light shines visibly. One way, one truth,
one saving grace. Jesus Christ, my God and my king. Praise be to
Almighty Rescuer. You have set me free, and I am now safely in
Your arms.
