Beautiful darkness
shimmering indefinite allure
ever pulsating beneath those good intentions
drawing you near like moth to flame
whispering dark wonders in your ear
until you sip its bittersweet poison
of pleasure and pain so it can
steal the light from behind your eyes
and leave you but a shadow of who you once were
