Close to the stalk
From a story of lovers
A story of loss
The petals and spikes
Springing up form
The blood of a youth
Killed without spite
A blow to the mouth
The tears of Apollo
Stain the petals
Beautiful son of Clio
His death a result
Of a wrestle
With the west wind (Zephyrus)
Apollo couldhave no consult
He kept Hyacinth in mind
Throughout his immortal years
