A Child's Day
Plopping down
On the emerald grass
After spinning herself silly, the girl’s glossy, short hair lands,
Covering her face completely in a golden blonde blanket.
She swiftly swats it away,
Bounces into the air,
And sprints across the yard.
Her vivid, floral dress springs up and down behind her.
Sky blue eyes light up, illuminating the neighborhood.
She begins plucking each dandelion in sight
She beams and suddenly the world around her beams as well.
