If I Were
“I am” Poem
I am a baseball bat
You know me for hitting homeruns
My mother is the field
My father is the ball
I was born in China
I live in Yankee Stadium
My best friend is the pine tar
Because he makes my all star player MVP
My enemy is the slider
Because he is like a hurricane curving away from the batter
I fear I might CRACK in half
Because it would ruin me forever
I love winning games,
Because I will lead my team to the World Series.
I dream of becoming a legend one day.
