A knock so faint it’s almost missed
An open window makes a chilly twist
Such a gentle touch almost not a kiss
You pour your heart to me

Your breath is warm whispers in my ear
Bodies so close never been so near
Can hardly believe you're actually here
I love you, is said to me

Your fingers glide through my auburn hair
A gentle voice asks if about you I care
I'm a little embarrassed as I lay there bare
Your hands all over me

The night is long without a rest
Continue to tell me to try my best
I feel like you're putting me through a test
Don't like what you're doing to me

But I think it's what I'm supposed to do
Do what you say when you give me the queue
Don't think I believe when you say I love you
Would you stop pressuring me...?

I lie awake, our fingers untwined
Doubt drifting in and out of my mind
You get up to leave, tears pour out of my eyes
Guess you got what you wanted from me…

I must’ve been dumb to think you actually cared
And what you took I didn’t want to share
The vivid images I just can’t bear
Don’t think they’ll ever leave me…

But I found someone who treats me right
No more calls in the middle of the night
Leave me alone or there’ll be a fight
I’m forgetting you and finding me!

For my best friend who was fooled by a boy who said he was in love.
