As he slams the door behind him
My whole world crumbles down
As he begins to walk away
My heart and face expose a frown

The fighting and the screaming are
The things that I can no longer take
Don’t they see that my future, as
Well as my emotions are at stake

I can’t afford another argument
For my tears are running dry
And I’m not playing any sort of joke
When I say I can no longer cry

But now my head and heart are both aching
Because she says she doesn’t think it can be fixed
It kills me to just sit by and watch
Knowing that I can do nothing makes me sick

And my thoughts are scattered all around
Because I still can’t understand
What is it, that after twenty years,
Made their requests turn to “demands”?

They use to seem like they were so in love
They promised to always be by each other’s side
But now she is begging him to just go that
There is nothing left to decide!
