Dionysus spanked us,
defaces creativity
Turns blood to wax,
as we wait to be lit.

taste becomes imitation
Vogue went missing in 1996,
our century breeds replicas
download, harmonize, regulate and repeat

an era where
all we want is a place on the bookshelf
authority ignites beneath the wood,
Covers fuse-
They even mangle our scraps

Like red lipstick and a violet sky
without sun
eating Jell-O after semi-synthetic psychotherapy
distorts my dreams

I'm thrilled to remember all of this
