Delaware Baby
The brown, murky water flows like traffic on a Sunday afternoon
The freshwater fish feed off the green algae
Swimming in this river could be a bit risky
Everyone deserves a chance to be in it
Boat, jetski, kayak, or canoe
Breeze running through your hair
Water splashing onto your warm summer skin
To walk around this view
A cold ice cream dripping down the side of your cone
Dogs barking at the cars as they drive by
It may seem dark and mysterious to you
But it’s more than a river to me.
