The Good Life

A ball that started it all,
Let's remember the good times when I was young,
Those days in the park with the boys,
getting dirty and playing ball,
They filled me up with happiness almost to much.

When it was all over I didn't even realize it,
After middle school then high school came,
Then playing ball just died out.

The stress came and it won't go away
Stress hits you hard like a fist.
if you're not ready for it
It will bury you far down, you gotta fight to get back up

This balls helps me to be ready for times like that
When stress is taking over and exhausting me
Just a ball can change it all,
It gives me memories of a simple time
When stress wasn't a thing,
Easy days filled with fun

Eventually I got through high school
made out with non stressful years.
The times stress almost got me
the ball helped me remember,
thoughts of the good times and how they felt
Shaped me to be who I am today.
