i don’t know how to put it into words,
and furthermore, i can’t determine why:
is it because i don’t have words for it?
or have the words not been invented yet?

i’m first to say i’m not the best with words.
when speaking, i can often trip along
through sentences i haven’t figured out
and things that don’t make sense to listeners.

and i have feelings that i can’t describe
with words i can discover in my brain.
if i could share my feelings wordlessly,
the world would be a simpler place to be.

if, without words, i could express myself,
the ones i love would know the way i feel.
my friends i’d give the world for if they asked
would understand the things i’d do for them.

and with these newfound, silent promises
i could show one more silent feeling too:
