After a long day of work a pregnent mother comes home
and she says hello but remembers shes all alone
her husband has gone to war
he knew they needed money so he joined the core
she remembers when he told her hes joining the service
she said dont go in war there is no purpose
then he looked her in the eyes
he said im doing this for the husbands and the wives
so when they put up the flag they can be proud
and when we sing our national anthom we can all say it loud
i know i have sind
but atleast i will know that i kept the flag blowing in the wind
for all those people who have went to there grave
those are the fighters and the brave
sometimes the best people are in the honored ranks
i truly dont know what i will be doing i might fly a plain or steer the tanks
I truly dont know if i will be back
but remember im doing this for that america lacks
but whatever i do
i want you to know it is all for you
