My Love is as Big as...

Your words are as comforting as a band-aid
on a little toddler’s boo-boo.
They are like new fleece from the store.

You ask, how big is my love?

It’s as big as a dinosaur compared to a pebble.

It’s as big as the princess’ stack of

never ending pillows on top of the pea.

It’s as big as the boom of the fireworks

on the Fourth of July.

Your hugs are as magnificent as a mom
taking care of her sick baby.
They are warm freshly baked bread.

I love you because you are flowers
on a frigid winter night.
