Pitter patter, rain fell.
Dad’s family settled for dinner.
And I stalled, nervously.
I cleared my conscious and prejudice.
“Dad? I’m pansexual.” I said it.
Boom! Clap! The rain poured hard.

This piece means a lot to me, my father is very homophobic, I haven't come out to him and I'm scared to do so. This is what I think the situation would feel like.
