Its’ every blue moon
That the winds of life have to blow sorrow
Dumping something to dread on some unsuspecting being
Although on some more than others.
Happening every blue moon.

And its’ every blue moon
That a family, either here to endure the pain, or above to watch,
Is given news of a loved one’s happiness being in danger
Although some more than others
Happening every blue moon

And it’s every blue moon
That a human, nowhere near perfection,
Has stress poured on their already breaking backs.
Although some more than others
Happening every blue moon

And it’s every blue moon
That something has to die
Be it spirit, hope, faith, or even the life itself
Although some more than others
Happening every blue moon

And it’s every blue moon
That something is overcome
For after grief comes happiness
Although some more than others
Happening every blue moon.

And it’s every blue moon
Hopes are set, goals to overcome obstacles
And it’s this blue moon that can be defeated.
Although some more than others.
Happening every blue moon
