I love you so much
Though the pain you bring
Kills me which explains
The ambulance rides

You love being carried
Like a baby only for
Me to run into somebody
Head on like a car crash
Making sounds of gunshots
Echo throughout the whole field

They through you up and
I could hear you yelling to
Me “Catch me right now or
The opponents win!!”

I struggled with you a lot
Which even brought doubt
And some anger, but it pushed
Me to chase the big finale
A championship game my very
First year

With all the blood, sweat, and
Tears dripping like a faucet off
My face I fight hard to be great
And I know it’s paying off because
You invite me to camps and even
Offered me a position at a Junior College
And I’m only a freshman
Running around like a bobblehead
With my sweaty, smelly pads and
Helmet on

You teach me a elephant load about
Being fit, being a student athlete, but
Most importantly being a brotherhood
On and off the field with my teammates
You’re here to help me make it out and
To the greatest performing stage of them
All….The NFL

With yet still more to learn about myself
I know for a fact you’ll never leave my side
Because while everyone doubts me you
Know I’ll do great things and I’ll forever love
You.
