My Best Friend

He shows me forgiveness, he shows me his love.
He’s the big man who lives up above.
He’s given me so much, that I’ve, yet to earn.
He gave me a life, now it’s my turn.
I do what I can to live my life for him.
I do what is right, and try not to sin.
Sometimes it’s tough, to live the right way.
But I try hard to do it, day after day.
It’s a stressful battle; darkness versus light.
But I’m taking his side, in this ongoing fight.
It will all be worth it in the end,
when I sit up in heaven next to my savior, my friend.
