Brightly
burning,
softly
breathing
twinkling
stars.

The innumerable stars
alight in the heavens brightly
and playfully twinkle
in their burning
constellations. As I gaze, I breathe
deep and lower my head to the grass softly.

The celestial light filters softly
From those stars
and shows my breath
against the frigid air, brightly
illuminating it with their burning
gases with a mischievous twinkle.

The random twinkling
of those stellar beings fluctuates to softer
luminescence, then to intense burning
to create those magnificent stars.
Their light rests upon me and brightens
My lips as I breathe.

The midnight air breathes
and a slight breeze blows through the meadow, the twinkles
reflecting in the early morning dew brightly.
The droplets shine like diamonds in the soft
light of incalculable stars
that in the heavens burn.

Countless years they have burned,
Illuminating innumerable stories, yet they breathe
Not a word of the past. Those ancient stars…
Like an elders eyes they twinkle
As they think softly
On the times they burned brightest.

Brightly burning,
softly breathing
twinkling stars.
