Green Solves all Your Problems- MGD
He looked like he was sleeping.
I knew better.
The room was full of weeping.
I pulled at the sleeves of my black sweater.
I knew better.
I stood there shaking,
Pulling at the sleeves of my black sweater,
Knowing he would not be waking.
I stood there shaking,
Staring at the boy I knew,
Knowing he would not be waking.
I didn’t know what to do.
Staring at the boy I knew.
Why’d he leave us all behind?
I didn’t know what to do.
I wondered what went through his mind.
Why’d he leave us all behind?
He did it over video call.
I wondered what went through his mind,
As he made his blood splatter onto the wall.
He did it over video call.
I looked around the room of weeping.
He made his blood splatter onto the wall.
He looked like he was sleeping.

This piece is about a friend of mine who commited suicide my freshman year. Even to this day, in my senior year of high school, it still hurts to think about him. I will forever miss him.
