Honey’s fur is black
That will never lack
Its softness
Honey was a puppy; by stature
Her paws acting as a snatcher
Of toys; unwanting things
Barks loud like rings
Honey, a Service Dog, is now big
A taller stature; with claws that dig
Against the floor
As if it were sand on a shore
Her eyes close gently
As she sleeps intently
To relax from playing, from jumping
Her fur-riddled tail thumping
In steady
Swinging; a jump rope ready
To leap
