Opening My Eyes

I take back my tears
the wasted years,
and going back to something
that could never be,
I take back my trust,
my heart and the love I had to offer you
I take back my hope
and the nights I wasted on you,
it never seemed to have a meaning to you
Nothing with bring back the old you,
Nothing can heal the wounds
that have been open for 4 years,
But I will still go on with a smile on my face
and love in my heart
