I am the reason you hold your head down when silence overtakes a room.

I am the lesson you learn after having your heart broken.

I am the generosity you show when you get paid.

I am the death of a teacher, and the birth of a savior.

I am the greatest gift to mankind.

I am the biggest disease to humanity.

I am the frayed remains of the memories you burned.

I am the CD in your stereo that is never played.

I am the words that haunt your head.

I am the voices that put you to bed.

I am the lack of ambition you show.

I am the lord you worship late at night.

I am the window you sneak through.

I am not your friend.

I am not your lover.

I am not your family.

I am the remains of everything you left behind.
I am the remains of everything you washed away.
I am the remains of everything and nothing.
