In one ear and out the other

up one wall and down another

looking down and never up

tripping on my feet, everything's above

but i don't see it, do you see it

open my eyes, they're always closed

down a smooth path now up a rocky road

help me do it, you can't help me through it

my words are in my words are out

my words are up my words are down

in my head, down to my stomach

out my mouth, into another

all the words flow like vinyls

contemplate in word denial

forgetting you, forgetting me

and everything we hate between

we all blend in, we all fall out

these are short and yours are stout

proclaiming words we once use

proclaiming words we now abuse

my words are in my words are out

my words are up my words are down

in my head down to my stomach

out my mouth into another

all the thoughts you disregard

from every word you can't discard

everything is real and right

segregating black and white

morning death from the alarm

waking up will do you harm

from my spine down to my feet

every word you will mistreat

right to left and left to right

side to side till not in sight

creating things so poetic

creating lines so monumetic

nothing that will feel synthetic

words that make it all pathetic

we tune in and we tune out

we don't know what we preach about

my words are out my words are in

my words are down my words are up
in my stomach to my head

to my mouth from another..
