A simple melody
Painted through the sky
And dripping into the sea
The sun sinking
Like a deflated balloon
The night seeping in
Supressing all those who oppose
An anchor strapped to my ankle
Weighing me down
No chance for escape
Soap in my eyes
And no plea bargin to be made
The valiant long gone
The joyful a mere fairy-tale
Its a fickle thing
This world we live in
So changable
So unpredictable
Like a fruit cup
Or hair spray
Sometimes things go your way
Sometimes everything goes wrong
Shreds can remain shreds
Or they can be mended
And a simple melody
Can play again

This was a more symbolic poem that I wrote after having some friend issues. This is actually one of my favorites now because of the wording I had used.

WOW! I really like this poem! I love all of the metaphores you use! (I don't actually know if they are called metaphores, but what ever they are, they make the poem really good!) You do have excellent word choice in this, and I really like it. Keep up the good work!
