You protect me
You keep me safe
from myself.
Sometimes
All it takes
Is the touch
Of my safe haven
To stop me from drowning
In these horrible thoughts I think
When I fall
You pick me up
And carry me
To a place
Where no one can reach me
Besides you
You save me
When no one else can
You get me
Even if you don’t think you do
You’re good for me
Even if you don’t think so
You’re mine
My safe haven.

This is about my best friend who I recently fell in love with. They don’t know it, but they mean the world to me and you are the only person that could ever make me feel so safe. I love you more than the world.
