Patiently I sit
Feeling my brain fry
Thinking I should quit
And watch my dreams die

My dreams of faith
My wants of love
My hatred of death
My quest from above

From above us all
The command comes down
To stand up tall
And recieve the crown

The crown causes pain
The crown causes hate
We all are the same
Our lives ended by fate

This poem explains how a person in power gives up their dreams to take on a responsibility given to them from a higher authority, but in the end, we are all people and all of our lives end the same way. I want readers to think; Did this person die happy?
