Breaking the Spell

I watched as you
fell from heaven
so graceful you were
wings like glitter
eyes hold fire
the earth stood
still as u fell
and broke time
i was standing there
on the edge
and you took my hand
i saw your eyes
the pain you hid
i could see through
your darkened soul
you begged me to save you
you took my hand
and i felt the hurt
your beauty was there
just hidden from view
i gently touched
your angelic face
and you closed
your eyes
and forgot
for just a moment
as the spell broke
leaving you a
mortal man
