When I loved you
When I look at you now, I don't look at you the same.
It’s as if you weren’t who I used to know, and will never be them again.
I would gaze at you from across the room,
you shining brighter than the light next to you; but now you're just like old news.
You used to be like a shooting star, the one that stood out the most of them all.
You remind me of when we’d walk through the flower fields, you blend in with the rest.
You used light up my day, now you make it shatter.
You’ve faded in with everything, when you used to always catch my eye.
Forever never worked for us, but that's just how it goes.
I hope you live a good life, but I hope mine’s better.
