Alien
When I was 17
My skin started to turn green
Like in the spring time
When the buds on trees start to blossom
Erupting with deep evergreen
Spreading like ivy
From the tips of my fingers
To the soles on my feet
Growing from the inside out
Winding through each inner crevice
Only a matter of time before I was an alien to everyone around me
Except the grass beneath my feet
And the trees soaring above my head
