Face Ache
I can’t quite understand the way
She moves through air, as if she were the air
Itself, and I can’t see her every day
And life goes on but it’s unfair
Some nights my mind aches with a pain
Such that I can’t think about anything
I’m close to giving up, I feel so drained
I feel the heavy weight of everything
Getting harder every day to awake
I need to stay, lying here in my bed
Only place I feel that can’t break
And keep the thoughts out of my aching head
I miss her more than anything I’ve known
So hard to take always feeling alone.
