Riding
Riding
To cleanse the spirit
So clean to soul
To feel free
To lift off the ground
To relax
Without tension
To feel the horse move beneath you
But you in utter control
To feel the wind in your face
The strength in your legs
The adrenaline pulsing through your veins
As you near the jump
The second in the air
Before you land
The deep breath you take
As you slow to a stop
The movement of your hips
As you canter around
The freedom of your voice
As the horse patiently listens
The hold of your hands
Guiding the reins
The pure happiness
The momentum
Pushing forward
The hoofs on the ground
Making a rhythmic sounds
Your thoughts in the clouds
Not wanting to come down
The smile on your face
As you stop the horse
The impact on your boots
As you jump to the ground
The deep breath of the horse
As you thank him for a great time
The lightness of your spirit
Feeling renewed and refreshed
As you breath in the horses scent
And hand the reins over
Excited for the next time
That you'll fly again
