Favorite Quote:
"Be the change you want to see in the world." Mahatma Gandhi

I walk down the crowded halls

my mind is a building with no walls

I thought I was feeling empty inside

but look at the girl who lost her pride

I bet she looks at the days ahead

thinking she shouldn't have gotten in that bed

but she can't turn against her baby

soon she will have the little lady

I turn around and hear a laugh

this is her life now, her flags at half staff

"I know her!" I said. "She's my friend"

I will stand by her, this isn't the end

approaching her, I continue to stand tall

she shouldn't have to go through this at all

I get that this was all just a mistake

but that loser is gone, she has the heart ache

I wrote this poem because an aquantience of my got pregnant in high school.  My teacher said we could write about something we're passionate about or something that's on our mind and I instantly thought of her.  I hope people will get from my poem that everyone makes mistakes.  If you or someone you know makes a life changing mistake you should always rely on the support of others to help you though the good and the bad.
