Roses are red
Violets are blue
I like turtles and so do you
turtles are cool
much cooler than tortoise
they swim in the water and crawl upon land
but that's not all, since turtles are grand
they have sharp claws
and a snapping maw
they eat plants by night and day
but they also hunt some tasty prey
though many turtles live in peace
some happen to decease
due to much plastic
this call for something drastic
For many caps are melting
and the earth has starter sweltering
we must do something soon
or the earth will become a dune
but enough about that
since turtles are flat
with a large outer shell
made to keep them well
though some can walk most do swim
and for better or worse some have three limbs
they hide in their homes
and guard their bones.
though some like to be peaceful
others can be awful
with one fell swoop
and you may lose a finger of two
