That Night
This cold moonlit night, this white night. Like diamonds dripping off the trees and covering the ground. Crisp and clean, a cold blanket enveloping the forest. The evergreens standing still and quiet, frozen in time. Your bare feet filled with bright, sharp pain, so cold it burns through your whole body. But you won't move, you can't leave. The snow is calling you, her voice chilling as she whispers and rattles around you. So you don't leave you won't move, you just stand there for eternity frozen in the falling snow.
