The Struggles Of A Disability
Being disabled,
One of the hardest struggles a human could think of having.
I myself don’t have a disability but,
My eyes have seen the struggles.
They are bullied because they may look or talk differently than the rest of us.
But they really are just like you and I,
Living in this crazy world we call home.
Some people just plainly ignore them.
They think that if they try to talk to them they won’t understand,
So they don’t even bother to try.
They are teased,
Taunted,
For no good reason at all.
But after someone bullies a disabled person,
They think,
“They don’t even have feelings, so it does not matter!”
But I guess they don’t understand that everyone has feelings,
Big small,short,tall.
Everyone has feelings.
I know people with disabilities that are way smarted than you and I could ever dream of being.
It’s really true, it really is.
Now please don’t let this poem get lost in your crazy thoughts of the day.
Really let in sink in.
And remember this phrase too.
“Don’t judge a book by its cover.”
EVER…
