4 in the morning
The sky is still dark
The birds have not risen
The dew has not fallen
Minds still weary
Sleep-deprived thoughts are fading
Peace begins to settle
Before shrilly being ripped in two
The cry starts out softly
The whimpers are slow
The nightmares wither
And reality strikes again
