Ode to My Feet
Scarred by glass,
stubbed toes
Calloused and rough
Painted pink
They are not pretty
They are beautiful
Beautiful in how
they have carried me
for 17 years
Through good and bad
Injury and sickness
Victory and defeat
They have carried me
into arms
belonging to loved ones
My feet have danced
through the most unforgettable
moments of life
They have pioneered
the intricate journey
called "My life"
