Red Wine/White Shirt
relationships are like sipping red wine
until it spills on you. it’ll get you crying.
permanent red mark on your brand new white shirt.
scraping and wiping the stain wouldn’t work.
paper towels after paper towels.
another hour, you just want another hour.
looking in your closet, causing you to lurk.
ignoring the heavy stain removals, your hard work.
but you found a brand new white shirt.
feeling brand new when you put it on,
then again, that night you spilled red wine.
this time, it wouldn’t come off.
