A Duck of a Different Color
Ugly…
That’s what everyone calls him,
And isn’t that the truth.
A duck that has grey feathers,
Who would have thought it?
He stands like a statue among his yellow brethren.
His voice is like a big-rig among his chirping siblings,
Honking and annoying.
His mother “consoles” him,
Saying “How can any be as ugly as you?”
No one played with him.
Who could with such an ugly animal?
One day,
He vanished without a trace. Nobody knows what happened to him.
Oh, well…
It’s not like anybody cared about him.
