Alive
We fight for breath as tufts of hair drift form the scalp
and the body withers away
We endure suffering until our eyes grow dull
and our skin starts to decay
We watch bodies crash like dominoes on the ground
yet still strive to survive
We cling to sound and air and light
fighting to stay alive
So why do some fail to thrive?
