Colors of the Rainbow
Do you see the rainbow over yonder?
‘Tis a brightly colored arc in the sky,
Like a red rose, ‘tis so sweet to ponder,
And orange poppies, in grassy fields lie.
‘Tis like orange leaves rustling in the breeze,
The rainbow’s yellow matches butterflies’,
And beautiful gold colored lilies.
Grasshoppers concealed in grass waving high
Resemble the pale green of the rainbow.
Blue, barely visible against the sky,
So closely matches bluebirds, flying low.
As the rainbow starts to fade, on the sly,
The Sun sets, the sky changes to scarlet,
The Earth is beautiful as a portrait.
