Where I'm From
I’m from being passed family to family
Like a football in the Super Bowl.
Growing up I was a clumsy kid
Surprisingly there wasn’t a lot of injuries.
I’m from O'Charley's every other Friday
Just for the bread and cotton candy drink,
A.K.A. the sugar rush drink.
Now that I think about it I had to be the pickiest eater ever.
I’m from a family of athletes,
Every kid in the family consists of the same sport.
Everyone knowing that we were going
To be successful in our lives.
I’m from a household where,
“C’s aren’t acceptable because I know
You are capable of more than this.”
Most of the time not believing it was true.
I’m from being clumsy,
To being a picky eater,
To knowing i was meant to be successful,
To knowing how to be myself.
… That's where I’m from.
