"My name is Jeff!!"

I’ve been running way too long
Running, but the direction is wrong
Run? That’s a crazy notion
It feels like I’m moving in slow motion
I’m running from myself
My feet just move. It can’t be helped
My demons haunt me
These mirrors taunt me
I’m sick of their deception
I can’t handle the reflection
They show a happy, carefree young man
Mom and Dad at his side, hand in hand
He’s okay; he has no worries
These images left my stomach churning
I hear the demons screaming
Am i dreaming?
I black out, and the screaming ceases
I come to, and the mirror is in pieces
The reflection was what was supposed to be
Supposedly
A normal me
Unfortunately
Screams. Blood curdling
Those people, they murdered me
Not a day goes by that I don’t think,
“Why do these things happen to me?”
I need to go, I need to move
Grabbing my shirt, and an extra pair of shoes
Get my things, pack my bag
Let’s go for a run. I’m never coming back

You ever see what you could have been in a mirror? I have, and I hated what I saw.
